There are exceptions. A 1" display ad designed for selling name lists, printing, printing & mailing, advertising - and other such services can easily ask from a few dollars for the low end and $100.00 or more on the high end. Keep in mind, to ask these higher sums of payment in a small ad, it should be for well known, widely used services such as those mentioned.
